Synk ("we", "our application") places great importance on protecting your personal data. This policy describes what data we collect, why, how it is used and protected, and what your rights are.
The data controller is the operator of the Synk application, reachable at contact@joinsynk.app.

Your data is hosted on servers located in the European Union (Supabase, Ireland region). Technical and organizational measures are in place to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If your account is deleted, your personal data is permanently erased within a maximum of 30 days, except where a longer retention period is required by law (e.g. fraud prevention, accounting obligations).

Synk provides a reporting mechanism accessible directly within the application, allowing any user to report a profile, message, or behavior that violates our rules or the law. Each report is reviewed, and the subject of a moderation decision (suspension, content removal) is informed and may contest it by contacting us at contact@joinsynk.app.
Use of Synk is restricted to persons aged 18 and over. By signing up, you confirm that you have reached the legally required age in your country of residence. Any account found to belong to a minor will be suspended and deleted.
Our technical providers may, in certain cases, be based outside the European Union (e.g. Google/Firebase). In such cases, data transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards recognized under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
This policy may be updated to reflect legal or functional changes. Any substantial change will be communicated to users via the application or by email.
